Online Prescriptions (Telehealth)

Step 1: Check Eligibility

Elitone for Men is FDA-cleared for men in the early stages or recovery following prostate surgery. It is proven to be safe and effective, but there are several medical conditions that prevent it’s use. See below.

Do not use Elitone for Men if you:

  • Have an electronic implant (e.g., cardiac pacemaker, implanted defibrillator) or suffer from heart problems.
  • Have active cancer, epilepsy, or cognitive dysfunction.
  • Have had pelvic floor surgery within the last three weeks.
  • Have complete denervation of the pelvic floor.
  • Have a history or symptoms of urinary retention, extra-urethral incontinence, or overflow incontinence.
  • Have persistent incontinence more than 12 months post-prostatectomy.

Consult your healthcare provider before using the device if:

  • You have any serious illness or injury not mentioned in this guide.
  • You have an underlying neurological condition (e.g., Multiple Sclerosis or Parkinson’s disease).
  • You have a tendency to hemorrhage, following acute trauma or fracture.
  • You take insulin for diabetes.
  • You suffer from muscle or joint problems, including pelvic pain.
  • You suffer with suspected or diagnosed heart disease.
  • You underwent a recent surgical procedure where muscle contraction may disrupt the healing process.
  • You have any doubt about using the device.

We are accredited to bill Medicare Part B (Original Medicare) for Elitone for Men. If you have a different insurance plan, including Medicare Advantage, we will work with your provider to determine coverage and any prior authorization requirements.

When your device is processed through insurance, any patient responsibility amount (such as coinsurance or deductible) is applied toward your plan’s annual deductible and out-of-pocket maximum. This means that even if you have some upfront cost, the amount you pay is credited within your insurance plan.

Step 2: Complete the Telehealth Evaluation

We’ve partnered with MD Integrations, a licensed telehealth provider, to make getting a prescription (Rx) simple.

  • There is no appointment to schedule.
  • You’ll complete the required health questions online.
  • A licensed provider reviews your information and issues a prescription as appropriate.

You’ll complete a short online health questionnaire on our secure partner site. A licensed, board-certified physician reviews your information to determine if Elitone for Men is appropriate for you. Most patients do not need a scheduled video visit, but you may message the physician if follow-up is needed.

The telehealth consultation costs $22, which is typically less than most in-office copays. You’ll need a photo ID to verify who you are and basic medical and bladder leak history information to complete the forms – about 10 minutes.

The doctor doesn’t start the review until you’ve provided all the required information and completed payment for the visit. Check your email for messages from “Elidah (Elitone)” with instructions for how to upload any missing information. When the process is delayed, it’s often because a patient didn’t upload a picture ID.

After completing your intake form, the doctor typically gets back to you via email within 1-2 business days (but this can vary by state).

if you receive a prescription, YOUR NOT DONE! To keep the process moving, continue to Step 3!

Step 3: Upload Your Insurance Information

This step is required to move forward.

We can’t confirm eligibility or process any co-pay until we receive your insurance details. Have your insurance card(s) ready and upload them here — it only takes a minute.

We can’t proceed until we have your insurance information. So upload it now. If you have Medicare Part B, we’ll also ask you to electronically sign a few forms.

Once we have that, we’ll check your eligibility and get back to you with any out-of-pocket payment you’ll need to make. After uploading your insurance info, you should hear from us via TEXT/MOBILE or EMAIL within 2-3 business days. It’s very important that you respond quickly. Your case is put on hold until you reply.  The sooner you respond, the sooner we can get you your Elitone.

Common Delays:

  • The patient doesn’t pickup the call because it’s from an unknown caller
  • We can’t leave a voicemail because the patient’s voicemail is full
  • The email goes into a promotions or spam folder and isn’t seen
  • The patient doesn’t upload their insurance information or sign the required forms

If you’re having difficulty, contact billing@elidah.com

You will be responsible for any co-pay. For Medicare patients without secondary insurance this is typically around $150, which can be as low as $12/month in a payment plan for 13 months. If you have another type of insurance we’ll work with you to find the best payment option.

Getting a Prescription from Your Own Doctor

Prefer to work with your own doctor instead of using telehealth? That’s absolutely fine. Here’s how the process works:

Step 1: Ask your doctor to send us the prescription form
Your doctor will need to complete the Detailed Written Order and send it to us by email or fax. To make this easier, we provide a fillable PDF version of the form, which you can download here.

Step 2: Upload your insurance information
Once your doctor has sent the order, upload your insurance information through our HIPAA-compliant portal using the buttons below. You’ll also be asked to complete a few forms so we can contact your insurance provider and verify your eligibility.

Step 3: Stay alert for messages from Elitone
Please watch for emails, phone calls, or text messages from Elidah (Elitone). We may need to reach you to complete the prescription process. If we’re unable to connect with you, your order may be delayed. The most common cause of delays is simply not hearing back from the patient.

Other Insurance Info

Please note, it can take 3 weeks to process an original Medicare form and much longer for other plans.

Expect a call or email from 203-508-4249 (Serrena). You may also contact that number or email billing@elidah.com at any time.

The slowest part is trying to reach you for more information. You can be proactive by providing your insurance information (if you haven’t) and signing the forms:
